If you are bummed because your local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm has filled all its shares, you’re actually in luck. Snipes Farm in Morrisville, famous for its wonderful a
pples, also has a CSA. And due to an expansion of their farming operation this year, they still have shares available. A member’s share includes 25 weeks of fresh veggies and fruit, and a requirement of 4 hours of volunteer time during the growing season with potlucks and gathering times along the way. For more information visit the farm’s Web site or contact: Victoria at victoria@farmschoolatsnipes.org or call 215-295-1139 Ext. 104.
Snipes Farm CSA Shares Still Available
April 7, 2009 by Lynne Goldman
Hi. I just joined the CSA and received my first bags of incredibly fresh delicious veggies. I want to publicize the CSA program and need to ask you some questions. I believe you are doing mostly organic, but I didn’t find any reference to it in the web pages I found. Please tell me about it.
I think you should be listed in the PYM links to Quakers in business, and that PYM needs to make a category for local Quaker organic farmers. There is not even one listed there now.
Love to all you dear people! –Rita
